Etymology: Sedum: from Latin sedo, "to sit," in reference to the manner in which some species attach themselves to stones or walls
Plants: matting, perennial, up to 4" tall forb, succulent; stems long and creeping
Leaves: thick, not flat, in whorls of 3
Flowers: yellow, 5-parted, 1/2" wide; inflorescence of a few, branched clusters (cymes)
Conservation Status: Introduced - persisting and spreading
