Etymology: Rorippa: an Anglo-Saxon word rorippen whose meaning has been lost
Plants: erect, perennial, 8"-24" tall forb, usually with upper branches, mostly smooth
Leaves: stem leaves with thin stalks, deeply pinnately-divided with the segments sharply toothed
Flowers: yellow, 4-parted, petals twice as long as the sepals; inflorescence a loose cluster (raceme) of stalked flowers; blooms May-Aug.
Fruits: long, thin, nearly horizontal pods sometimes drooping
Habitat: wet
Conservation Status: Introduced - naturalized
