Flowers: pink to rose, 6-parted, 1"- 1 3/4" wide; lip with fringed edges but not lobed, its surface with yellow hairs and often with red veins; inflorescence usually 1 (rarely 2) short-stalked flowers; blooms May-July
Habitat: sun; wet; bogs, shores, meadows, fens
