Plants: erect, annual, up to 40" tall forb; one to several stems often branched toward the top
Leaves: small and narrowly lance-shaped
Flowers: blue, 5-parted, 3/4"-1 1/4" wide; inflorescence a loose, branched cluster (panicle) of stalked flowers; blooms June-Aug.
Habitat: fields, roadsides
