Plants: erect, perennial, 2'-5' tall forb unbranched to the inflorescence; stems mostly lined or grooved
Leaves: larger leaves arrow-shaped with wide lower lobes, sharply toothed, long-stalked; upper leaves becoming shorter, with winged stalks
Flowers: head white to cream, cylindrical; inflorescence a 6" flat-topped umbel with 20-40 heads; blooms July-Aug.
Habitat: wet; meadows, streambanks
