Leaves: lower leaves coarsely toothed, upper deeply cut
Flowers: blue to purple, 4-parted; inflorescence a dense, domed, long-stalked cluster 1/2"-1 1/2" thick surrounded by bracts about equal to the head; blooms June-Sept.
