Associated Species: Acer negundo, Sambucus canadensis, Phalaris arundinacea, Lonicera x bella, Corylus americana
Occurrence Remarks: Loose clump; 2.5m tall, of ca. 20 stems to 1.5cm in diameter, but definitely sprouts from trunks to 6cm in diameter. This same individual collected in leaf on 3 July 2015 under no. Nee 62319. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Staminate, catkins with many filaments wilted, much visited by same small insects (Diptera?, 4:00P.M.) as the pistillate plant (Nee 62083)
