Ulmus pumila-Lonicera Xbella thicket, associated with a few common weeds (Coronilla varia, Phalaris arundinacea-little, Solidago canadensis, Vitis riparia-little), rapidly encroaching L. X bella, & an overwhelming predominance of Coreopsis tripteris & Vernonia gigantea. Abundant for a 0.1 mi.-long stretch, obviously weedy, forming a narrow (4 yds.) to wide (27 yds.) population filling in openings among thickets & rapidly encroaching shrubs.
Occurrence Remarks: (Sheet 1 of 2 sheets) Probably originally planted, judging from bits of prairie species (plus a Pinus mugo tree), overwhelmed by weeds, along unused blacktop driveway at west end of the Vernonia-Coreopsis association & the nearby suggestively named Blazing Star Drive.
