Habitat: Large Sphagnum bog with Andromeda polifolia, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Kalmia polifolia, Ledum groenlandicum, Salix petiolaris, S. pyrifolia.
Occurrence Remarks: Shrubs near edge, in a clump, 1.9 m. tall, 1.6 cm. in diameter, 11 years old. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, Leaves glaucous below. No flowers or fruits at this time.
