Habitat: Abies balsamea, Betula papyrifera, Acer rubrum and marshy openings with Alnus incana ssp. rugosa, Spiraea alba.
Occurrence Remarks: Shrubs, 3 m. tall, 4.5 cm. in diameter, 13 years old, with single stems or several stems in a clump. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw. A few old brown "cones" and a few hanging inflorescences for next year.
