Habitat: Northern mesic forest of Acer saccharum-Fagus grandifolia with Betula alleghaniensis, Tilia americana, Quercus rubra, Ulmus americana, & Fraxinus americana on floodplain. Assoc. with Actaea rubra, Arisaema triphyllum, Caulophyllum thalictroides, Claytonia virginica, Geranium maculatum, Hydrophyllum virginianum (abundant), & Impatiens capensis.
Occurrence Remarks: Herbage & spurred petal glabrous; sepal-auricles 0.5, 0.7, 0.8, 1.1 mm, glabrous. Rare, alongside an oxbow in N-central part of tract.
