Habitat:
Bog dominated by Sphagnum, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Kalmia polifolia, Ledum groenlandicum and Betula pumila, with scattered dwarf Larix laricina, Picea mariana, and Alnus incana ssp. rugosa.
Occurrence Remarks:
Shrublets to 1 m. t all, to 0.9 cm. in diameter, scattered, not rare, the only species of Salix within the bot itself (other species are found at the edge). Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, RSAw. Leaves glaucous beneath. Some old dry inflorescences persisting.
