Habitat:
Large Sphagnum bog with Andromeda polifolia, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Kalmia polifolia, Ledum groenlandicum, Salix petiolaris, S. pyrifolia.
Occurrence Remarks:
Abundant, erect shrublets, the aerial stems ca. 0.6 cm. in diameter and to 5 years old, but within the Sphagnum mat to 0.9 cm. in diameter and hard to see any growth rings. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, RSAw.
