Habitat: In wide cleared trail through Quercus alba-Q. macrocarpa-Carya ovata savanna on crest of ridge with scattered herbs (Cirsium hillii, Daucus carota, Melilotus sp., Muhlenbergia schreberi, Silene latifolia subsp. alba, Solidago canadensis, Verbena stricta) & shrubs (Populus tremuloides, Rhamnus cathartica, Rubus idaeus subsp. strigosus, all cut off & resprouting after maintenance work).
Occurrence Remarks: (Sheet 1 of 2 sheets) Locally well-established above (N side of) westernmost bog-filled kettle hole. Shrub, apparently colonial, a number of shorn-off plants 0.4--0.5 m, multi-stemmed from base, stems curved-ascending, plus 1 or 2 erect plants 1.6 m at transition between trail & savanna.
