Habitat:
Open Quercus alba savanna on rolling terrain underlain by St. Peter sandstone, gentle N-facing slope with rank vegetation. Assoc: Agastache scrophulariaefolia, Ageratina altissima, Ambrosia trifida var. trifida, Arnoglossum atriplicifolium, Campanulastrum Campanulastrum americanum, Elymus canadensis, E. hystrix, E. villosus, Eupatorium purpureum, Galium triflorum, Hackelia virginiana, Rosa multiflora, Rubus occidentalis, R. strigosus, Scrophularia marilandica, & Verbena urticifolia var. urticifolia.
Occurrence Remarks:
Scrambling shrub with long arching stems, together with Rubus spp. knitting together the vegetation and making it difficult to walk through. Becoming frequent on upper third of slope. Sheet 2 of 2 sheets.
