Habitat:
In shallow quiet water of drained (outlet channel) 34-acre lake with M.P.M. total alkalinity of 52 ppm & bottom entirely of loose soft, quicksand-like, deep muck. Immediately associated with Potamogeton natans & P. pusillus & a little farther away in shallower water, Nuphar variegata & Nymphaea odorata.
Occurrence Remarks:
Stems submersed, lvs. floating; beaks 2.0--2.9 mm; stigmas 0.9--1.1 mm; anths. 0.9--1.0 mm. Rare; one very small colony. Water with total alkalinity (M.P.M.) 52 ppm.
