Habitat: Rank vegetation on gentle N-facing slope in open Quercus alba-Q. velutina savanna on rolling terrain underlain by St. Peter sandstone. Assoc.: Agastache scrophulariaefolia, Arnoglossum atriplicifolium, Cinna arundinacea, Elymus hystrix, Elymus villosus, Eutrochium purpureum, Leonurus cardiaca, Rosa multiflora (common), Rubus allegheniensis (abundant), Rubus occidentalis, Scrophularia marilandica, Urtica dioica ssp. gracilis, & Verbena urticifolia var. urticifolia.
Occurrence Remarks: Biennial herb, 2.1 m tall, with 10 axillary flowering branches. A Town of Middleton Conservation Park.
