Habitat:
Grown in unshaded yard of farmhouse, of unknown origin, either from local seeds, or possibly inadvertantly included in nursery stock from New York State.
Occurrence Remarks:
Shrub 2.5 m tall, with only three major branches. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. This year many clonal saplings have sprung up, to 7 m. from this original plant. Sap sticky, initially white, within a few minutes turning creamy-yellow. [Stems and lvs. glabrous but fruit of "true" R. typina -J.G. Zaborsky 2021]
