Habitat:
In Poa pratensis turf across front of undeveloped overgrown lot between sidewalk & very young (2-yr-old?) Ulmus pumila-Lonicera Xbella thicket, associated with a few common weeds L. X bella, & an overwhelming predominance of Coreopsis tripteris & Vernonia gigantea. Abundant for a 0.1 mi.-long stretch, obviously weedy, forming a narrow (4 yds.) to wide (27 yds.) population filling in openings among thickets
Occurrence Remarks:
(Sheet 2 of 2 sheets) Probably originally planted, judging from bits of prairie species (plus a Pinus mugo tree), overwhelmed by weeds, along unused blacktop driveway at west end of the Vernonia-Coreopsis association & the nearby suggestively named Blazing Star Drive.
