Habitat: Specimens recovered from storm damage. Old, cultivated ornamentals in cemetery, mostly Thuja occidentalis and Juniperus virginiana, with remaining or spontaneous Quercus macrocarpa and Prunus serotina, the Thuja occidnetalis all healthy, but all lower twigs gone up to limit of deer browsing.
Occurrence Remarks: Tree 18 m. tall, a columnar cultivar, branching within 1.5 m. of base into 6 trunks, these to 30 cm. in diameter, this one 46 years old at the height cut. Inner bark with light yellow, clear, sticky resin. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw. Both young yellow-green cones and old dry brown ones.
