Habitat:
Extensive marsh of Typha, Sparganium with scattered Alnus incana ssp. rugosa, and patches of Larix laricina surrounded by Toxicodendron vernix, but without Sphagnum or Ericaceae. Floodplain of river but mostly isolated from influx of silt during floods.
Occurrence Remarks:
Weak but scrambling to 1.5 m. high by means of the very scabrous stems. Flowers white.
