Habitat: Quercus velutina-Q. macrocarpa savanna on fairly steep, S-facing sandy slope, at end of a sandstone ledge with Andropogon gerardii, Coreopsis palmata, Euphorbia corollata, Lespedeza capitata, Quercus macrocarpa seedlings, Rosa blanda, & Rubus occidentalis. S end of N-S-lying bluff of St. Peter sandstone capped by thin layer of Platteville dolomite.
Occurrence Remarks: Phyllaries whitish-gree; flrs. white. Abundant on site farther east & upslope with Amphicarpaea bracteata, Anemone virginiana, Cyperus lupulinus, Lactuca canadensis, Maianthemum stellatum, Pteridium aquilinum, Solidago ulmifolia, & Tradescantia ohiensis.
