Habitat:
Northern mesic forest of Acer saccharum-Fagus grandifolia-Tilia americana with Quercus rubra, Fraxinus americana, occasional Betula papyrifera, & rare Pinus strobus & Q. alba, on terrace above creek. Assoc. with Allium tricoccum var. burdickii, Arisaema triphyllum, Carex deweyana, Circaea lutetiana subsp. canadensis, Eurybia macrophylla, Hydrophyllum virginianum, & Solidago flexicaulis.
Occurrence Remarks:
Erect-ascending, slender twiggy shrubs, forming a patch (only spot seen). S part of tract.
