Habitat:
Semi-open area of wet Larix laricina-Pinus strobus-Betula alleghaniensis swamp embedded within extensive P. strobus-Acer rubrum swamp. Understory of Alnus incana subsp. rugosa & Ilex mucronata, ground-layer of Carex stricta, Lycopus uniflorus, Panax trifolius, Rubus hispidus, Symplocarpus foetidus, & Trientalis borealis. Springy hummocky peaty ground with Sphagnum, weakly acidic.
Occurrence Remarks:
Two plants seen, one in flower, one sterile (a pair of basal lvs). [Photo only]
