Habitat:
Young brushy woods, with Rhus typhina.
Occurrence Remarks:
Tree blown down in recent storm, with straight, slender trunk, ca. 20m. tall; bark smooth, pale. Wood whitish, with a little heartwood or pale brown staining in the center. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw, the specimens from mid-trunk. No flowers or fruit at this time of year.
