Habitat:
Sand prairie and some open sand, on old dunes from which Quercus velutina has been cut and burned.
Occurrence Remarks:
A few plants (all pulled up to make specimens) along trail through open grove of young Quercus macrocarpa. The plants are smaller than normal for the species because of the dry, sandy conditions.
