Habitat: Alder thicket (one of 3 previously cleared rectangles within a large cedar swamp). Associated species include: Abies balsamea, Alnus incana, Cornus sericea, Cornus canadensis, Maianthemum canadense, Rubus pubescens, Fragaria virginiana, Galium triflorum, Clintonia borealis, Thalictrum dasycarpum and Carex trisperma.
Occurrence Remarks: Very short male spike. Analysis of the Vegetative Cover of the Brule River Watershed, Revisited 2015-2018. Watershed: Bois Brule River.
