Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Sauk, Hemlock Draw, a TNC preserve on the south rim of the Baraboo Hills, 1.5 mi. NW of Natural Bridge State Park, 2 mi. N of the rural locality of Leland, 10 mi. (airline) W of Badger Army Ammunition Plant.

Habitat: Southern dry-mesic forest on W-facing slope, Quercus spp. dominant, with Acer rubrum, Carya cordiformis, Ulmus americana, & Carpinus caroliniana, succeeding to Acer saccharum & Tilia americana, groundlayer with Bromus pubescens, Carex cephaloidea, Circaea lutetiana subsp. canadensis, Geum canadense, Poa alsodes, Sanicula gregaria, S. marilandica, Solidago ulmifolia, & Triosteum aurantiacum.
Occurrence Remarks: Long, E-W-lying, narrow cool gorge of Cambrian sandstone and quartzite conglomerate located along Honey Creek.
