Habitat:
On sides of wet mossy hummocks under Pinus strobus trees & Alnus incana subsp. rugosa shrubs with Carex lacustris, Rubus hispidus (exceedingly abundant), & Symplocarpus foetidus, in Acer rubrum-Pinus strobus swamp with abundant mosses (incl. Sphagnum), ferns (Onoclea, Osmunda-3 spp., Dryopteris carthusiana), & sedges (Carex debilis, C. deflexa, C. grayi, C. stricta), Aronia, Ilex, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, R. setosus, Scutellaria lateriflora, & Spiraea tomentosa. Springy peaty ground w/ wet depressions, drainage ways, & streamlets.
Occurrence Remarks:
Rare; one population occupying roughly 200 sq. ft.
