Habitat:
A large marshy area in floodplain of Wisconsin River, with slightly higher dry sandy terrace with Quercus velutina forest and prairie.
Occurrence Remarks:
In unshaded, disturbed sand between ballast of railroad (alluvial limestone gravel) and prairie. Just beginning to bloom. Flowers yellow. [Densely stellate pusescens, eglandular - J.G. Zaborsky, 2021]
