Habitat: Scattered native trees in park as well as surrounding fringe of native woods of Quercus macrocarpa, Acer saccharinum, Prunus virginiana, P. serotina, Tilia americana, Ulmus thomasii.
Occurrence Remarks: Tree 30 cm in diameter; bark furrowed. Fruit yellow-green, slightly inflated. A number of trees of this species here and they do have a different growth form from U. americana; the trunk continues erect nearly to the top of the canopy, and it is not as buttressed at the base.
