Habitat:
Near ridgetop, brushy area formerly agricultural fields, between woods on slope and prairie establishment on ridgetop. With Cornus racemosa, Juniperus virginiana, Lonicera maackii, Elaeagnus umbellata, Prunus serotina, Viburnum lentago, and planted Picea glauca.
Occurrence Remarks:
Perhaps planted. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw.; Shrub in clump of several stems, 2.5 m tall, 3 cm in diameter. Inflorescence held erect, with flat top; sterile flowers white.
