Habitat:
Steep SE-facing slope of narrow valley, woods of Quercus alba, Tilia americana, Celtis occidentalis, Acer rubrum, Staphylea trifolia, with Podophyllum peltatum, Zanthoxylum americana.
Occurrence Remarks:
Shrub 4 m tall, 5 cm in diameter, perhaps the maximum size it reaches in this woods, with a major stem and much smaller replacement stems from base. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Fruit yellow-green, hanging.
