Habitat: Along ridgetop, old agricultural fields, now heavily overgrown with shrubs and small trees.
Occurrence Remarks: Perhaps originally planted but certainly now invasive, in very overgrown old field with planted Pinus strobus and spontaneous Prunus serotina, Rhus typhina. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw.; Shrub 3 m tall, with several stems to 6 cm in diameter. Leaves silvery below. Fruit green, a few beginning to turn orange.
