Habitat:
Disturbed dirt and gravel around workings, with scattered shrubs and some trees, surrounded by deciduous forest on slopes.
Occurrence Remarks:
Shrub forming dense clump of many stems, to 4.5 m tall, 6.5 cm in diameter, this about the maximum size for a stem before senescing and being replaced by younger stems. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Twigs not brittle at the base. Pistillate.
