Occurrence Remarks:
Shrub; base perhaps 18 cm in diameter, but soon branching and above 1 m none of the stems over 8 cm in diameter; above this size the stems break up and replaced by new sprouts from basal stem, not clump-forming. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw; almost undoubtedly the same genetic indivdual collected with staminate catkins on 26 April 2014 as no. 60995. leaves glaucous beneath.
