Habitat:
Thin, brushy woods on dry sand terrace above marsh, with Betula nigra, Prunus virginiana.
Occurrence Remarks:
Loose patch of shrubs to 2.1 m tall, with slender stems 1.7 cm in diameter; some nearby climbing into small trees with adventitious roots and whether all are facultatively climbing or whether the stature is genetically determined is uncertain. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw Sap of cut stem quickly turning black. Flowers pale green.
