Habitat: In 1 ft. of water, near southwest shore of lake, hard, rocky bottom with thin layer of silty sediment. Appears to be mixed pop. with S. emersum; few other species in immediate area except for Spirodella polyrhiza; Zizania palustris abundant nearby. Other associates near shore are Sagittaria latifolia, Eleocharis palustris.
Occurrence Remarks: Leaves greener, narrower than typical; infl compuond with 1 lower branch bearing 1 pistillate head, remnants of staminate heads. "Aurora Lake1"
