Habitat: Base of steep roadcut in soft Cambrian sandstone, with landslides a couple of years ago and the base bulldozed, much bare soil, unshaded, with Helianthus annuus (not the wild type), Xanthium strumarium, Digitaria ischaemum, Centaurea biebersteinii.
Occurrence Remarks: Many plants, all somewhat dwarfed, some greatly so, none over 1.5 m tall, but all strictly monocephalus. There is no indication that they were planted. Rays yellow; disc yellow.
