Habitat: Ornamental in residential area.
Occurrence Remarks: Cultivated. Small tree with two trunks, one blown over in storm in October, 2014, 20 cm in diameter, 20 years old. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Same individual collected with leaves, 26 Oct. 2014. In full flower, flowers dark and light yellow, sharply fragrant, very different from those of E. umbellata and not as pleasant. This is the only tree of this species I have seen in Grant County, and only one other in cultivation in Richland Center, in Richland County.
