Habitat:
Large fallow field, formerly in farm crops but apparently not planted to prairie since abandoned several years ago. Complete visual dominance now by Erigeron annuus (no. Nee 62322), with much Rudbeckia hirta, thin stand of Bromus inermis, Poa pratensis, Agropyron repens.
Occurrence Remarks:
Common. Rays yellow; disc brown.
