Habitat:
Scattered on S-facing, unshaded slope near house and surrounded by farm fields, on poor soil where original hillside had been but for house construction 12 years ago. With Bromus inermis, Agropyron repens, Monarda fistulosa, Rudbeckia hirta, a mixture of spontaneous weedy species and seeds/roots planted of prairie plants over the last decade. This Hypericum was not deliberately introduced.
Occurrence Remarks:
A few plants. Open flower 11 mm wide; petals yellow.
