Habitat:
Large sedge-Typha marsh with Larix laricina but probably no Ericaceae with Eupatorium perfoliatum, E. maculatum, Chelone glabra, Alnus incana ssp. rugosa, and adjacent lower edge of forest of Acer saccharum, A. rubrum, Fraxinus americana, F. nigra.
Occurrence Remarks:
Shrub 3 m tall, 4.5 cm in diameter, in a loose clump or colony, perhaps more than a single clone here, but all vouchers from the stem from which wood taken. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Fruit turning bright orange-red.
