Habitat:
Secondary forest of Populus tremuloides, Abies balsamea, with marshy opening with Larix laricina, Picea mariana.
Occurrence Remarks:
Slender tree, 7 m tall, with spire-like top where all the cones are produced. This individual had gone through periods of very slow growth, 7 cm in diameter, ca. 19 years old. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. With Typha, Sphagnum, Larix laricina, Osmunda in boggy opening.
