Habitat:
Broad valley with small stream, well above floodplain, surrounded by fields and pastures, the fencerow with Zanthoxylum americanum, Acer negundo, A. saccharinum, Prunus serotina, Quercus alba.
Occurrence Remarks:
Clump of shrubs 2 m tall, 3 cm in diameter. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. In the fencerow around the cemetery, probably originally planted as an ornamental.
