Habitat:
Strip of dry prairie and thin woodland with Quercus ellipsoidalis, Pinus banksiana, Comptonia peregrina. Very flat, sandy soil.
Occurrence Remarks:
Shrublets to 0.55 m tall, in patches of widely separated individuals. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Foliage pleasantly aromatic.
