Habitat:
Unshaded, packed gravel of turnoff, edge of deciduous forest, opposite large quarry in Prairie du Chien dolomite, used for road gravel, dominated by introduced species of Fabaceae tribe Trifolieae (Trifolium pratense, T. hybridum, Medicago lupulina, Melilotus officinalis).
Occurrence Remarks:
Small tree, 14 cm in diameter, disturbed edge of secondary deciduous forest. Specimens from lower, shaded branches, this year's twigs green with slight glaucousness, this lost during drying.
