Habitat:
Old , untended farm apple orchard on top of ridge, rich loess soil over dolomite. Scattered Juglans cinerea.
Occurrence Remarks:
Old cultivated tree, 8 m tall, 40 cm in diameter at the base, but beginning to branch at 0.5 m, the largest stems rotting and hollow. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Apples to 6.5 cm in diameter, green, many of them partly red, with darker red stripes, sweet and juicy.
