Habitat: Adjacent floodplain with Acer saccharinum, Ulmus americana, Zanthoxylum americanum.
Notes: Small tree, 18 cm in diameter, leaning over river, near a bank beaver lodge and all the twigs above water level (at ice level in water?) have been clipped off by beavers. Fruit yellow-green, some with flush of red, the largest 6.5 cm long, 6 cm in diameter, the flesh sweet. A single tree and obviously a casual escape.
