United States, Wisconsin, Taylor, Chequamegon National Forest- Medford Ranger District. Small pond, east side of Mondeaux Dr., formed by intermittent stream above where it passes through culvert.

Habitat:
Water 1 ft. deep, soft bottom solid enough to stand on. Associates: Nuphar variegata, Typha latifolia, Scirpus cyperinus, Carex comosa, Sagittaria latifolia, Calamagrostis canadensis, Leersia oryzoides, Eleocharis palustris, Carex lacustris, Glyceria can.
Occurrence Remarks:
Population of bur reed in all stages of flower and fruit; stems with or without branching inflorescence. A clone of closely-spaced erect stems and leaves, the leaves strongly trigonous below and at least keeled above. Stems 1--3 ft. tall. "M3" immature fruits, pistillate heads 2, axillary, lowest peduncled, staminate heads 7, at anthesis.
